 Education and academic experience:
 Rui Liu is a professor of analytical chemistry in the College of Chemistry of Sichuan University. He received his B. S. and Ph. D. degree from Sichuan University in Applied Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry, respectively. During the Ph. D. study, he worked one year in National Research Council Canada, supported by a joint training program of China Scholarship Council. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Chemistry in Tsinghua University.
